NBA 2010 NYSTOM MVP Race (as of 12-31-10)
NYSTOM is back with his next installment of his MVP Race. I think that we can slowly start to inch those Lakers further down the list NYSTOM. They seem to be fading. I do like the guy at #3 because he seems to not get the press that many others do.

Let's just say that a certain forward for the Heat might have overtaken Pau Gasol's #1 spot since these rankings came out (through December 31). I might also point out that, depending on tonight's performance against the Danilo Gallinari-less Knicks at the Garden tonight, one of those Spurs (Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, or Manu Ginobili) might see a boost, too. (But not if my Knicks can muster a fantastic win against San Antonio, which would be my preference!)
By the way, apparently Tony Parker came thisclose to signing with those Knicks during this past off-season. I'm loving the Raymond Felton signing right about now, but.......Parker would have looked nice in blue and orange, too.
Parker would have looked great in a Knicks jersey, and I'm almost mad that he didn't sign with them. Felton is playing a lot better than I thought he would. I mean he's hitting shots and being a playmaker. Still not sold on a Carmelo/Stoudemire/Felton combo because they wouldn't be able to stop anyone, but they'd probably put up close to 110 a night.
LeBron is playing ball and I don't hear all of the haters that had previously been very vocal. They are going to have problems with the size that the Celtics have, and Orlando may give them some problems with Howard and the 3 ball, but the Heat are looking good.
