If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's gotta be a duck. Plaxico Burress and teammate, Antonio Pierce, were out at a Manhattan night club. Somehow, Plaxico shoots himself in the leg with his own gun. His teammate Antonio Pierce tried to hide the gun (in New Jersey) as Burress was taken to a local NYC hospital. Since Burress didn't have a permit to carry in New York he will be brought up on felony weapon charges. The mandatory sentence in New York is 3 1/2 years.What are these guys thinking? I mean Burress is married to an attorney. Shouldn't he have some sense? This story is still unfolding as we speak. Burress is scheduled to turn himself into New York police on Monday. His attorney, Ben Brafman, who represented P. Diddy a few years back said that Burress will cooperate with officials. With all of the problems Burress has caused in NY this year, and a possible mandatory sentence, I doubt you'll be seeing that #17 jersey on the field anytime soon.
