Why the hate for Dorell Wright? As of last night (January 3), Dude is averaging 16.2 points per game and is 87-for-212 (41.0%) on 3-pointers for the Warriors. Entering the season, he was averaging 6.3 points per game and was 73-for-212 (34.4%) on 3-pointers over his six-year career (all with the Heat). (Yes, as of last night, he has shot exactly as many 3-pointers this season [212] as he did for the combined six seasons previous to this one.)
Can you give a guy some love for besting his career scoring average by 10 points per game?
Yes I can, but that's an anomaly. He's got to do this for more than a few games. Talk to me when he's doing this well next year. Then, maybe I can get on board with you. It's almost like a one hit wonder.
